Former Westlake HS Football Player Killed in Afghanistan

2007 Westlake High School graduate A.J. Castro was killed Saturday in a a landmine explosion.
Castro, 20, who was the son of former booster club president Hectro Castro was a U.S. Army Specialist in the 101st Airborne Division.
The Ventura County Star reported that Castro’s body will be flown to Philadelphia today and then to Westlake Village. A family memorial will be held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church.
Last year, former Westlake Football player, Frankie Toner, 26, who was a Navy lieutenant, died in Afghanistan.
