Extortion Suspect Arrested in Hawaii

U.S. Marshals apprehended a man in Honolulu this afternoon at the request of Malibu/Lost Hills detectives.

Robert Krafft, 28, was wanted by the by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department in connection with an attempted extortion which occurred in October 2009. During the incident, he offered a sheriff department employee money in exchange for his release from a drug arrest.

He is also wanted to numerous narcotics violations and is suspected in a string of burglaries in the city of Malibu. He will be held in Hawaii and then extradited to Los Angeles County.
